A note from our spring newsletter

For those not yet on our mailing list, here’s a short recap of what we shared with our regular guests this season.
First, a warm welcome to two new members of our team: a massage therapist joining our wellness staff, and a new addition to the kitchen who’s already introduced a few guest favourites to the breakfast menu. Both bring years of experience from other retreat centres and have settled in beautifully.
We also looked back at February’s Yoga & Qigong retreat, one of our most peaceful groups yet, with guests describing the week as exactly the reset they needed before the busier months ahead. A few photos from that retreat are now up in our gallery, for anyone curious about what a typical week at the villa looks like.
Finally, a practical update: airport transfers can now be arranged directly through WhatsApp, rather than by email. It’s a small change, but one that’s made coordinating arrivals and departures noticeably smoother for both our guests and our team.
If you’d like these updates delivered straight to your inbox each season, you can subscribe from the footer of any page on the site.

Two new retreat dates added for autumn

Two new retreat dates added for autumn

We’re delighted to announce two additional weeks of our Holistic Yoga Retreat this October, added in response to requests from past guests who couldn’t join us during our usual spring and summer dates.
Both weeks follow our complete Yin–Yang programme: dynamic morning vinyasa sessions to build strength and energy, paired with slower, restorative evening practices designed to help the body unwind after a full day. Each day includes guided meditation, and guests will have access to our wellness treatments, including massage and reiki, throughout their stay.
Meals will continue to be plant-based, prepared daily by our kitchen team using local, seasonal produce — autumn in Fuerteventura brings a lovely shift in what’s available, and our chefs are already planning the new menus around it.
As part of this round of dates, we’re also including one optional half-day excursion to the Corralejo dunes, a chance to experience a completely different side of the island outside the villa.
Because we keep our groups intentionally small to preserve the personal, attentive feel of the retreat, spaces fill quickly. If October works for you, we’d recommend reaching out sooner rather than later to secure your room.

Refreshing Buddha’s Garden for the season ahead

Refreshing Buddha’s Garden for the season ahead

As the warmer months approach, we’ve spent the last few weeks giving Buddha’s Garden — our main outdoor yoga and meditation space — a well-deserved refresh.
The biggest change is overhead: we’ve installed new shade sails across the deck, designed to soften the midday sun without blocking the gentle morning and evening light that makes this space so special for early practice and sunset sessions. We’ve also repotted and pruned the palms and dragon trees that frame the deck, many of which had outgrown their original containers after several seasons of growth.
Behind the scenes, we upgraded the irrigation system to a drip-based setup, which uses significantly less water while keeping the surrounding planting lush through the hottest part of the Fuerteventura summer. It’s a small change guests won’t notice directly, but one that fits our ongoing commitment to making the villa more sustainable, season after season.
Combined, these updates mean cooler mornings on the mat, greener surroundings, and a garden that will keep maturing beautifully over the coming retreats. We can’t wait for you to practice here.
